Basically, Duvega Software is a Microsoft shop. This means I generally use tools
and technologies created & published by Microsoft or 3rd party tools designed to compliment
the Microsoft development platform (if applicable). This includes:
- Web Development: HTML, CSS, ASP.NET in C# (including AJAX), and XML where needed/requested. Whenever possible, all development is done in Visual Studio (with Visual SourceSafe for Source Control on all projects).
- Database Development: SQL Server 2000/2005, Microsoft Access
Please note, however, that data that's currently in text files, Microsoft Excel, XML, or practically any format can be converted into a usable database format.
- Desktop Applications: Adobe Photoshop, Flash (if I'm forced to), Microsoft Visio, Project, etc. With the exception of really specialezed tools like PRO/E or MATLAB, the chances are pretty good that I've used them in the past. Who knows...you might surprise me.
- Other stuff (not always a big deal, but worth mentioning): I don't use PHP, MySQL, or Java-based tools. These are all fine technologies and they're great for many people, I just don't use them. Nothing personal.
